Support

Questions or something not working? Email support@stickermint.com with your store's .myshopify.com address and, if it's about one location, its name. We reply within one business day.

Getting started

  1. In the app, open Locations → Add location. Type the name and address and click Save: the app finds the address on the map. Drag the pin if it should sit somewhere else (for example on your entrance). Add opening hours, phone, website and a short note. Or, under Import & export, bring in your Shopify locations (Settings → Locations in Shopify), or import a CSV file (Pro).
  2. On the app home, click Add block in theme editor. The theme editor opens a page template with the Store locator block ready; click Save. Tip: create a page called “Stores” first (Online Store → Pages) and choose its template in the editor. No theme code is changed.
  3. You also get a ready-made store list page at /apps/stores on your store, with a page for each location. Add it to your menu under Online Store → Navigation.

What shoppers get

  • A search box: they type a town, postcode or store name. Matching locations show first; if none match, the app finds the place and lists the nearest locations.
  • “Use my location” sorts locations by distance. The position stays in the shopper's browser.
  • For each location: address, distance, “Open now” / “Closed now” (in the location's time zone), opening hours, a call link, website, directions and its own page.
  • A map with every location (pins group together when they're close). On phones, List and Map buttons switch between the two.
  • Storefront text follows your store's language for English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch and Portuguese.

Map pins and addresses

  • Addresses are looked up with OpenStreetMap Nominatim, at most one request a second for everyone, with every answer cached. A single save is usually placed right away; a big import is placed in the background at up to about 40 addresses a minute (roughly half an hour for 1,000 rows). Rows in a CSV with Latitude and Longitude are used exactly as they are.
  • If an address can't be found the location is marked Not found instead of being placed somewhere approximate. Check the street and postal code, or click the map to place the pin. Pins you place are never moved by the app.
  • Locations without an address or pin still show in the list, just not on the map.

CSV import (Pro)

Download the template under Import & export. One row per location; the Name column is required. Hours go in Monday…Sunday columns as 9:00-17:00, 9am-5pm, 9:00-12:00, 13:00-17:00, closed or 24h. Country can be a name or a two-letter code. Comma, semicolon and tab separated files work. Before anything is saved you see how many rows are ready and every row with a problem. Importing again updates matching locations (same Location ID, or same name, street, postal code and country) instead of adding duplicates. The export uses the same columns, so you can edit in a spreadsheet and import again.

Search engines

Each location's page lists its address, hours and contact links as normal text. For your own stores with a full address (street, city, country), the page also includes schema.org LocalBusiness structured data (as a Store). Stockists never get it, because they are other businesses. You can turn structured data or the location pages off under Settings.

Good to know

  • Maps use OpenStreetMap data and OpenFreeMap tiles: no Google Maps account or API key, no per-map-load costs. The required attribution is shown on the map.
  • The map loads only when it scrolls into view, after the rest of the page has loaded, and the results area keeps a fixed height so nothing on the page moves.
  • If the map can't load (for example an old browser without WebGL), the list keeps working and says so.
  • Place searches are limited to fair use per visitor and per store; when a limit is reached, shoppers still get name and address matches and “Use my location”.
  • After uninstalling, your locations are kept for 48 hours (in case you reinstall) and then deleted.

Plans

Free: 1 location with search, “Use my location”, the map, opening hours, directions, location pages with structured data and the Shopify locations import; a small "Powered by Mint Store Locator" line shows under the locator. Pro ($7.99 / month, 7-day free trial): up to 3 locations, CSV import and export, tag filters for shoppers, no "Powered by" line. Plus ($14.99 / month, 7-day free trial): unlimited locations, map styles and your own pin colour, everything in Pro. Plans are managed on Shopify's plan page (Plans → Choose a plan / Manage plan) and billed by Shopify.

Changing plans never deletes anything. On Free, your store shows the first location in your list (hide or move locations to choose which); on Pro the first 3 locations; the rest are kept (and stay editable) for when you upgrade again, and adding new ones waits until you're under the limit. Moving from Plus to Pro also switches the map back to the default style and pin colour; your choices are kept.

Privacy

See our privacy policy and security policy. In short: the app stores your locations and settings, and no customer data.
